Despicable me…

Thought experiment: Value question

So here’s a story:

There was once a woman named Abigail. Abigail was engaged to and madly in love with Greg. The problem was that Greg and Abigail lived on either side of a river filled with man eating alligators. Abigail, trying to get to her lover, asks boat captain “Slug” if he can take her across the river. Slug tells her that he will do so only if she has sex with him. Abigail hates this proposition and, distraught, tells Ivan about the ordeal. Ivan tells her that he wants no part of this and refuses to get involved. Abigail, feeling as though her hands were tied, returns to Slug and acquiesced. Once on the other side of the river, she tells Greg of all she had to endure to get to him. Greg, being upset at Abigail’s actions, breaks off the engagement and throws her out. A very hurt Abigail goes to Billy and tells him of what she endured. Billy takes pity on Abigail and in his indignation beats Greg up. Abigail then laughs at Greg’s misfortune.

Who do you think is the most despicable character in this story and why?
