I know I’ve been gone for forever but I’m back… Here’s an unsolicited recap…I moved islands. Yup that’s right. I currently live on another island. I got a job as a counselor and resident advisor at a tertiary institution and I jumped on that. I’m ankle deep in DBT (dialectical behavior therapy). I’m doing okay. I still get very overwhelmed and anxious but I can tell when I’m splitting now and I can give myself a minute to recoup. Maybe too much of a minute cuz I gained like 3
Ya know what’s weird, it’s that feeling you get when you realize that you’ve somehow crossed over from being loved to not. It’s not the same as the fear of abandonment - that can be explained and even characterized.
